Community Outreach
Our Mission: Empowered to Serve
Our purpose is rooted in the two greatest commandments as indicated in Matthew 22:37-39: to be empowered through our vertical relationship with God (Love God) and to empower others through our horizontal relationships (Love Your Neighbor).
Outreach & Community Impact
We demonstrate our love for our neighbors by strengthening them in times of need. Our core outreach commitments include:

Praise Choir
It has been a blessing to direct the New Mt Gillian choir for 3 years. We have a wonderful group of talented musicians and choir members. Although we are small in numbers, we are big in praise and worship. The congregation sings with us and together we make joyful
noise unto the Lord.
The choir and congregation hod a sacred responsibility in our services: to usher in the Holy Spirit and cultivate an atmosphere prepared to receive the Word of God. Through prayerful song selection, we aim to harmonize our worship with the message, allowing the Lord to lead us as we prepare the hearts of the people for the seeds sown by our Pastors. In 2025, “I Just Want to Praise You Forever” emerged as our defining anthem – a powerful testimony of gratitude for all God has done for us.
Looking back on 2025, we are overwhelmed by God’s favor. Beyond our 52 weeks of faithful service, our ministry reached into the community atthe Byhalia Christmas Tree lighting andsupported Pastor as he traveled to minister at local churches. From Easter services and musicals to our most successful Christmas Gala yet, our volunteers have given countless hours to practice and preparation. I am profoundly grateful for every member of the NMG music ministry and eagerly anticipate leading this choir into a 2026 filled with even
greater growth and celebration in Christ Jesus.
