Youth Department

The NMG youth is heavily focused on community presence and long-term spiritual growth. We are actively building presence and focus to increase youth membership and involvement. Our current initiatives are:

1. Community Presence & Representation

Christmas Parade Float: Designing a float and marching in the Annual Olive Branch and Byhalia Christmas Parades to represent New Mt. Gillian Baptist Church.
Back to School Bash: Serving as church ambassadors and volunteers to help pack and distribute school supply bags to the local community.

2. Youth Music & Ministry

Youth Choir: Actively building membership and presence to lead the congregation in worship through song.

3. Stewardship & Leadership Development

Sunday School and History Focused Celebrations: Teaching the youth to learn from the past as a foundation for leading the church in the future.
Leadership Discipleship Training: Direct mentorship for young men and women, providing practical leadership lessons modeled by the Men’s and Women’s Ministries.
